Product details
96" Wide · 80% Cotton / 20% Polyester
Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 batting is one of the most popular battings on the market — and for good reason. It combines the natural feel of cotton with the added loft and durability of fine polyester, needle-punched and lightly resin-bonded for exceptional strength. It quilts beautifully by hand or machine and launders well, making it a reliable everyday choice for a wide range of projects.
Key Features
- 80% natural cotton / 20% fine polyester — soft hand with added durability
- Needle-punched with light resin bonding — strong, stable, and easy to quilt
- Adjustable loft — close quilting yields a flat finish; wider spacing creates a slightly higher loft
- Quilt up to 4" apart
- Expected shrinkage 3–5% — pre-washing recommended
- Best with medium to dark fabrics — unbleached cotton may slightly darken light or pastel fabrics
- 96" wide — ideal for large quilts, bed quilts, and wide-format projects
Recommended Uses
- Machine quilting and hand quilting
- King-size and oversized quilts
- Bed quilts, throws, and wall hangings
