Les Boppers c’est un collectif de jazz fondé en 1998 par le tromboniste et compositeur Benoit Gagné. En 1998, le groupe a sorti son premier album éponyme. En 2011, grâce au support de Disques BG, Les Boppers se sont rassemblés pour une tournée de vingt-deux spectacles à travers le Québec. Suite à ce succès, Benoit Gagné a décidé de composer de nouvelles pièces. Ce nouveau spectacle rend hommage à une époque marquante du jazz, qui a vu de grands musiciens tels que Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Jay Jay Johnson et bien d’autres, instaurer les bases de cette musique si enlevante. Laissez-vous transporter dans l’ambiance des bars enfumés New-Yorkais des années 50 avec Benoit Gagné au trombone, André Leroux au saxophone, Roger Walls à la trompette, Jean Cyr à la contrebasse, Vincent Ravary à la batterie et Éric St-Jean au piano.

« Les Boppers » is a jazz collective founded in 1998 by the trombinist and composer Benoit Gagné. In 1998, the band released their first eponymous album. In 2011, thanks to the support of Disques BG, « Les Boppers » gathered for a twenty-two shows tour throughout Quebec. Following this success, Benoit Gagné decided to compose new pieces. This new show pays tribute to a memorable jazz period, which has seen great musicians such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Jay Jay Johnson and many others set the bases of this exciting music. Let yourself be transported in the atmosphere of New York’s 50’s smoky bars with Benoit Gagné on trombone, André Leroux on saxophone, Roger Walls on trumpet, Jean Cyr on double bass, Vincent Ravary on drums and Éric St-Jean at the piano.
