Russian Caravan Tea is a bold black tea with a distinctly smoky character, warmed with cardamom, ginger and cinnamon and lifted by bright orange.
This is a tea with some edge to it. The black tea is deep and full-bodied, the spice comes through warm rather than sweet, and the orange keeps the finish from feeling too heavy. The result is aromatic, layered and wonderfully different from a standard breakfast blend.
With its robust flavour and high caffeine level, Russian Caravan makes a particularly satisfying morning or afternoon cup. Drink it straight for the full smoky-spiced experience, or add milk to soften the edges.
